Red turns to Blue reviews - 26 January 2010

Two new reviews of Red turns to Blue has been published online.

"There’s at first to name the opener ”The Beat Of You” and it really astonishes, how well the rather cold and Trance-driven Electronica music flirts with the warm vocals of Pixieguts."
- Marc Tater of Chain D.L.K read review

"‘When the Skies are Grey’ sounds a bit like Kraftwerk attempting a trance track, but fortunately also has plenty of the smooth techno momentum that is one of Voide’s biggest strengths and provides the glue that holds this album together."
- Northcape read review

Red turns to Blue released! - 1 January 2010

After over a year of composing, mixing, collaborating, listening, remixing, working on artwork, changing distributor and mastering the Red turns to Blue album is finally released.

If you haven’t had chance to hear any preview of the album then I can prepare you for the experience by sharing the following:

The new album is a musical journey and you will find that the new album features tracks ranging from the more traditional commercial sound to tracks with feel from the first Voide album Space Sponge. I knew very early that this album would be a ’bumpy’ ride although not in an uncomfortable fashion. I’ve put a lot of effort into the arrangement of the track order and I hope that the album will provide you with an engaging and interesting listener experience.
The past year has been full of challenges and hard work both with music and other matters and it is great to feel that I can now deliver a album that I am really proud over, I hope you will like it too!

Make sure that you listen to the title track Red turns to Blue featuring Pixieguts that uses lyrics inspired and partially used by Isabel Lavender.

It appears that the promised digital distribution is lagging a bit, likely due to the holidays, and all sites don’t have the new album listed yet – it should appear in a couple of days.

In the meanwhile you can listen and enjoy the new album at these sites:

New Traffic Music Video! - 13 December 2009

Red turns to Blue - 10 December 2009

I have some great news to share and that is that the arrival of the new Voide album not far away. During the last year I have been working on 13 new tracks for the album where three of them have been released on the Lazy single in August this year. The album will have 14 tracks in total and the additional track is Love featuring Suzie Electric from the single with the same name. I feel that this song never got the visibility it deserves and hence it is included on the album.

I am also mighty proud to announce that four tracks features Australian vocalist Pixieguts (M. Craven). We had lots of fun (even the hard work was fun) and are really happy with the four very different tracks. The title track of the album, Red Turns to Blue, is a beautiful and almost spiritual track inspired by and partially used lyrics written by Isabel Lavender. For me this is really exciting being the first artist to release a song based on Isabel's lyrics, it is also exciting for Isabel of course!

Red turns to Blue is in my opinion (slightly biased) the strongest Voide album to date.. It features dreamy electronica, tracks that will make you want to dance for sure and some other pretty wicked tracks true to my style :)

More details including the track list are posted in the Voide blog.

eQo Remix! - 16 July 2009

I recently got the chance to remix eQo and the excellent track 'Just A Little Bit More'.

It is hard to work with a track that you like a lot and Just A Little Bit More was a challenge for me as I wanted to treat the original with a large portion of respect but still adding some of the Voide touch in the production. I held back in the end because I think the track is beautiful as it is. I added some rhythms, remixed quite a few of the instrumental and vocals while I also added a sound here and there. I hope that you will like it and I also recommend checking out other tracks by eQo!

New single
I am currently finalizing work on my new single Lazy that will be released very soon.

Two new tracks released! - 10 May 2009

Into the Sun featuring Pixieguts

Into the Sun is a track about passion, much like love is the passion for life shared by two persons. The atmospheric pads in part represents the remote sound of a burning sun. This is the first collaboration between Voide and the Australian vocalist Pixieguts and her lovely voice takes the track to a new dimension.

You can listen and download Into the Sun at these sites:

Traffic

Traffic is inspired by traffic flows in general, especially in the city. The 'point of view' of the track is from the drivers seat of a car and the time of day is after dark.
